New residents settling into BNCLT

Over the last few weeks, 6 new families have joined our Land Trust at 31 Leroy and 632 West Park Street. We have a spread of sizes—with two 2 bedroom apartments; two 3 bedroom apartments; and two four bedroom apartments.  These homes are newly renovated, spacious and full of light, and we are so excited to see our CLT community grow.  New residents are invited to join our monthly resident meetings, and will be invited to our CLT Orientation on May 12th.

In the words of Jean Paul Doh, who shared that he is delighted to be a part of the BNCLT community, "Each one of us brings ideas and experience to help the neighborhood. We are people of different backgrounds, and each one of us brings a different experience to make the community strong."

Meanwhile, the renovations at 6 Humphreys Place are well underway, and looking good!  Residents who live there now will be able to move back into their updated units over the next few months, and can stay there permanently!!  Some of the 6 Humphreys residents are already engaged with BNCLT meetings and events and bring so much fire to the CLT movement from their years of dedication and organizing to fight against eviction.

Stay tuned for a big celebration at 6 Humphreys Place in June!
