TOPA is Moving Forward!

Last week, the House passed the Housing Bond Bill and the Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) was included!  This is a major step on the path to make TOPA a law. 

TOPA is critical to address the high cost of housing, to keep tenants in their homes, and to stabilize our communities.  

Because of this forward movement, the real estate industry is out in force trying to defeat TOPA.  We need you to help counter them.   

Please take action!  Take two minutes to reach out to your State Representative to say:

• Thank you for passing TOPA in the House version of the Housing Bond Bill; and

• Please contact legislative leadership to ask that TOPA continue to be a priority.
