Take Action: Tenants’ Opportunity to Purchase Act

Do you have a story to tell about why TOPA matters for you and for others in your community? There are several opportunities to share leading up to the upcoming hearing on Tuesday, November 14th at 11am.

On November 14th, the Tenants' Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA) has a hearing in front of the Joint Committee on Housing, and we need everyone to share their stories on how TOPA will fight against displacement and help stabilize communities. All are invited to come listen and learn from others across the state.

We need all of us, the TOPA endorsing organizations + other supporters to come together to get this done! Why? TOPA is a tenants' "right of first refusal." It would create more tenants' rights, another pathway to homeownership, and another tool to push back against displacement and gentrification across MA cities and towns.

Let's win TOPA once and for all! Let's keep moving together!
