Staffing Updates

At the end of May, BNCLT said goodbye to our Community Stewardship Manager Jason Desrosier. Jason brought a depth of experience to the BNCLT team and helped set up systems that will live on after he leaves. We are sad to see him go, but excited to wish him well on his next journeys.

Meanwhile, we are so happy to welcome Louisa Winchell as our new Program Coordinator. Louisa first started working with BNCLT as a Tisch Fellow in the summer of 2022 – as a Tufts MA Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning student. Since then, she has worked part-time doing BNCLT’s communications and supporting our fundraising and events.  She also supported BNCLT through her contract position as the Property Transfer Project Coordinator with the Greater Boston CLT Network.

As BNCLT’s Program Coordinator, she will be working with BNCLT four days a week. Her work will include fundraising and communications, supporting the roll-out of BNCLT’s membership, and coordinating BNCLT’s programs. She will work closely with our Resident Leadership Coordinator Markeisha and residents on researching a potential BNCLT asset building / rent-to-own program — which would support residents on building individual and collective assets. She will also continue supporting BNCLT’s property transfer program — which includes advancing the development of BNCLT’s ground lease. As someone who grew up in the area, she is honored to support the growth and stewardship of community-controlled permanently affordable housing in Boston.

This summer, she has enjoyed a record-number of soft serve ice cream cones.

You can reach Louisa at lwinchell@bnclt.org.
