CITC: A New Opportunity to Maximize Your Donations at BNCLT

We are excited to announce that donors who give $1,000 or more to BNCLT will be eligible to receive 50% back in the form of tax credits. As of this year, BNCLT has been certified by the Massachusetts Department of Housing and Community Development to be a community partner for the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC). CITC is a program passed by the Massachusetts legislature in 2012 as part of a larger bill to promote economic growth in the state.

Any US resident, business, or non-profit organization is eligible for the tax credit if you donate $1,000 or more. After donating, 50% of your donation amount will be subtracted from your tax bill or added to your reimbursement. If you do not file a Massachusetts tax return, you will receive a check for the value of your tax credit. BNCLT has an allocation of $75,000 tax credits for 2023 — we will assign these to donors until they run out on or before December 31, 2023.
